That's largely due to the amps. 8-12" speakers with 500 watt amps are fine for a few hundred people in an auditorium, but not so great for a thousand + outdoors

At most of the rallies I've seen you can't even hear the speakers because the sound system isn't loud enough

Another point to consider is EMS and Police logistics. Can we request road closures and emergency vehicles be on standby? Some cities will allow counter protestors to be closer if there are barricades and closures, other will not. These are things to bring up with the city.

As for speakers, I'd suggest 15" and amps with an output of at least 1000 amps
