No Kings Protest Draws 100,000 Demonstrators in Minneapolis

Minneapolis, MN — Another installment of No Kings protests against “increasing authoritarian excesses and corruption of the Trump administration” swept cities across the U.S. on Oct. 18, 2025. In Minneapolis, an estimated total of 100,000 to 150,000 people showed up to the No Kings Twin Cities Rally and March. Over 2,500 cities across all 50 states held protests in which nearly 7 million people participated in, making it the largest one-day protest against a president in modern history.

Organized by Indivisible Twin CitiesMN50501Women’s March Minnesota and Minnesota AFL-CIO and supported by at least 90 other organizations, the massive march of people covered at least one mile long and paraded a rectangle through downtown starting at The Commons Park near the U.S. Bank Stadium.

Unicorn Riot live streamed the protest, watch the streams below — the Facebook stream is one full video and YouTube was broken into three parts.

Musical performers Liz Digitale Anderson, Emmett Doyle, and Brass Solidarity welcomed the crowd before the rally started.

At least six headline speakers warmed up the crowd with reasonings as to why the event was important: Dr. Kate Beane, (Flandreau Santee Sioux Dakota), Twin Cities Arts Leader; Bernie Burnham, Minnesota AFL-CIO President; Monique Cullars-Doty, Black Lives Matter Minnesota; Keith Ellison, Attorney General of Minnesota; Pastor Jim Erlandson, Lutheran Church of the Redeemer; and Emilia Gonzalez Avalos, Executive Director of Unidos MN.

In the event information provided by the group Indivisible, they note the following:

“On October 18, millions of us around the country are rising again to show the world: America has no kings, and the power belongs to the people.

Trump and his regime are doubling down — sending militarized agents into our communities, silencing voters and critics, and handing billionaires giveaways while families struggle. This isn’t just politics. It’s democracy versus dictatorship. And together, we’re choosing democracy.

WE ARE UNITED AGAINST KINGS President Trump has already indicated that he’s aiming for at least a third term. But the American people don’t put up with kings. Together, we will mobilize in huge numbers to reject this corruption and abuse of power—it’s in our DNA as a country.

THAT’S WHY WE SAY: NO THRONES. NO CROWNS. NO KINGS This country doesn’t belong to strongmen. It belongs to the people. Let’s fill the streets of downtown Minneapolis. We will gather for a rally, we will march, we will chant, hold signs and sing. We will express both our outrage and our support for our cities and our state.

We know this – we are stronger together and we MUST turn out in numbers that cannot be ignored. If marching isn’t your thing, come anyway. Bring a chair, a sign or an American flag and cheer on the marchers from the sidewalks. Enough is enough. For anyone who thinks they’ve gone too far, this movement is for you.”
