A large police riot occurred in the aftermath of the fatal shooting of Alex Pretti by Customs and Border Patrol agents on Jan. 24. Masses of crowd control munitions were used on hundreds of community members gathered around Nicollet Avenue in south Minneapolis. Federal agents, Hennepin County Sheriffs, Minneapolis Police, MN State Patrol, and Minnesota Conservation Officers all worked together to violently suppress the organic protest in sub-zero temperatures.
