Community activists call for an end to secret negotiations of a new contract for Minneapolis police. Today they are holding a press conference outside of the office of the city’s collective bargaining manager, Laura Davis, at the public service center. They are seeking to eliminate officer fatigue by stopping the extraordinary amount of off duty hours worked by police, having more flexible staffing for officers, and instituting mandatory mental health screenings.
