On July 21, Pennsylvania prosecutors had to present their evidence in the case against Celeste Legere and Cara Mitrano, accused of being behind the October 2024 release of hundreds of mink from the state’s last fur farm. The DA ended up dropping the RICO charge and the defense seems poised to poke further holes in the case. Both women still face decades in prison in what a defense attorney calls “an overcharged political case.”
