Calling for the release and exoneration of Philip Vance from his life sentence, formerly incarcerated abolitionist and co-founder of Humanize My Hoodie, Jason Sole spoke on the 22nd anniversary of the murder that Vance is ‘wrongfully convicted on.’ Vance was sentenced to life in prison for a 2002 murder in South Saint Paul, Minnesota based on corrupt police officers from the disbanded Minnesota Gang Strike Force and false testimony from informants.

“This don’t only show that Philip Vance is innocent, it show a bunch of people lied…they know his case should open up a lot of other cases ‘cause I think he’s a drop in the bucket for what they been doing out here.”
