On Feb. 7, hundreds gathered outside the Whipple Federal Building near the Minneapolis-Saint Paul Intl Airport for an Indigenous-led civil and human rights rally called Not on Native Land to protest what is being done by federal agents on historically native land. Speakers invoked the history of the land, of white settlers genociding Native Americans, and the roles of Bishop Henry Whipple and Fort Snelling.
