In the early morning hours of Jan. 11, 2023 German police conducted more raids of barricades and encampments belonging to environmental activists seeking to halt ongoing construction of coal-mines and the planned demolition of Lützerath. Various barricades and encampments were forcibly evicted as police continue to maintain a heavy presence in occupied areas. During the raids numerous people were arrested, with an unknown number currently held in custody. Further actions are planned in the coming days.
