On Jan. 14, hundreds of people gathered at the Utah State Capitol to raise awareness about the multiple crises threatening the existence of Great Salt Lake’s ecosystem. While some speakers urged law makers and lobbyists to reform legislation, others drew attention to the direct links between colonization and the state of the lake, resting blame at the feet of lawmakers who ushered in the catastrophe.
