During the last day of the 2024 Democratic National Convention, a veteran of the U.S. military spoke against the war on Gaza and for a ceasefire.

“We’re here to protest against US-backed US-funded US-armed US-supported with US-intelligence and US-personnel, slaughter of innocent women, children, men, civilians and freedom fighters in Palestine. We’re here to oppose settler-colonialism in all its forms and we’re here to use our position as veterans to get Americans to reconsider their support for war and militarism. It doesn’t matter where you are on the political spectrum, you should be against war you should be against killing you should be against genocide and you should be against the military industrial complex.”
