Our media team covering the #UniteTheRight rally and counter-protest in Virginia were pepper sprayed, tear gassed, and hit with batons and sticks by white supremacists. By the end of the day, one anti-fascist protester was dead after a car driven by a white supremacist drove into the crowd. A police helicopter also crashed during the clashes killing 2 officers. At least 35 others were also injured. [8/12/17]
