Dan Feidt

Dan is a Unicorn Riot reporter, producer and co-founder. Between protester-filled streets and government halls, for nearly twenty years he has covered social and protest movements in Minneapolis and on the east coast, as well as tech, surveillance, policing, legislative policy, and Internet/media production. His live video work in the 2020 George Floyd uprising was covered in the New York Times and far-right investigations was featured in the New Yorker. He also developed livestreaming video at Occupy Wall Street and co-hosted OWS Radio on WBAI in 2011.

Dingane Xaba

Dingane is a South African-American journalist, photographer and video editor who spends equal time between Minneapolis, Minnesota and Durban, South Africa. Since joining Unicorn Riot in 2015 he has covered a wide range of socio-economic and political stories in both countries, and around the world. He also works on various administrative tasks for the organization.

Niko is an award-winning journalist and media maker working to bring context to social and environmental struggles from the frontlines of resistance to the back alleys of change. Troy Amlee/Akičita Šuŋka-Wakaŋ Ska

Troy, whose Lakota name is Akičita Šuŋka-Wakaŋ Ska (White Horse Warrior), is an Indigenous Unicorn Riot journalist from Minneapolis. Their coverage focuses on everything from indigenous stories to environmental justice struggles, bringing a mic-in-your-face approach to capturing voices who are underrepresented. They work on documentaries and cinematography, web development, and technical operations.

Sean is a multimedia journalist, videographer, editor, researcher and producer who reports from all corners of the U.S. Their work focuses on the intersections of environmental destruction, marginalized and targeted communities, and abuses of power with an eye toward centering the people who fight back.
