The Continuing Humiliations of White Supremacist Jake Lang
Edward Jacob “Jake” Lang was arrested again on May 21, setting a pattern that began this year when he vandalized an ice sculpture in front of the Minnesota State Capitol reading “Prosecute ICE” during Operation Metro Surge.
The latest arrest occurred in the Montgomery County Courthouse in Clarksville, Tennessee, during a bond hearing for far-right streamer Dalton Eatherly, known online as “Chud the Builder,” who was arrested earlier this month on charges of attempted murder, employing a firearm during a dangerous felony, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon.
On May 13, Eatherly – whose on-stream performances consist of saying the N-word to Black people in public – got into an altercation with a Black man that ended when Eatherly shot the man and – accidentally – himself.
During his arraignment on May 15, Judge Reid Poland III set Eatherly’s bond at $1.25 million, which he said was justified because of the seriousness of the charge and the need to “protect the public interest and safety.”
Three days later, Lang shared on his X account an AI-generated flyer for a demonstration outside of the courthouse set for May 21 with the text, “Free Chud, stop biased justice against white Americans.” In the lower right-hand corner, the flyer read, “Hosted by Jake Lang.”
For Lang and others, the “exorbitant” bond has been seen as proof that white people are punished more harshly for crimes compared to people of color.
However, another reason the bond was set so high was because Eatherly was already out on bond from charges of theft of services, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest days before the shooting incident, in addition to harassment charges from November.
Standing outside of the courthouse the morning of the hearing in a mint green polo and a fanny pack, Lang stood alone and made a meandering speech about a two-tiered justice system as somebody recorded him with a smartphone.

“The fate of the future of white civilization is here,” Lang said, gesturing toward the courthouse behind him.
Shortly afterwards, video emerged from the courtroom of Lang being ordered to leave for causing a disturbance.
“This is two-tiered justice,” Lang said as he walked away with an officer a short distance behind him.
“Alright, take him into custody,” Judge Poland ordered.
Lang looked back at the judge with his mouth agape helplessly as the officer began placing him in handcuffs.

“I told you, sir, you did not have a speaking role today,” Poland said. “You decided that you wanted one, for whatever reason, I don’t know why.”

The court decided to hold Lang for 10 days, the maximum amount of time he can be held, according to his fiance and fellow J6er Rachel Myers.
On May 24, Myers made a post to Lang’s account where Lang – presumably dictating his message to Myers over the phone – claimed the jail was starving him because they would not give him food that adhered to his kosher diet.
Later that day, Myers made another post to the account telling readers the jail had put Lang in solitary confinement and barred him from making further phone calls because of the earlier post.
As Lang awaits charges in the Montgomery County Jail in Clarksville, he is also facing charges in multiple other states while promising to continue his nationwide circus performance in a way that will likely see him continue to rack up charges.
Those charges include physical threats made against police in Washington, D.C., and the February incident in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he filmed himself vandalizing an ice sculpture in front of the State Capitol building. The latter charge, which was amended on April 8 to include “Damage to property – 2nd Degree – Because of Bias,” could see him serving a maximum of five years in prison.
Before winding up in a Tennessee jail cell, Lang’s most recent arrest occurred in Michigan, where he was arrested on charges completely unrelated to any planned protest.

Michigan
“Americans Against Islamification” (AAI) – an otherwise fictitious group centered around Lang – scheduled what it said would be America’s “largest book burning event” and a 93rd anniversary celebration of Nazi Germany’s “burning of the books” for May 10 in Hamtramck, a suburb of Detroit, Michigan. Once there, the group promised to burn a number of Qurans to protest what it alleged was an Islamic takeover of the United States.
An AI-generated promotional flyer for the event posted on the AAI Facebook page set it in both Hamtramck and Dearborn, though Lang’s personal X account only mentioned Dearborn. The time specified on the flyers was 5 p.m., or even more confusingly 4:05 p.m. Central Time in the Facebook event listing.
Lang first appeared in Hamtramck driving a U-Haul truck with a trailer attached past the Al-Islah Islamic Center on Joseph Campau Ave. with a man in the passenger seat, both shouting “Christ is king” with raised fists. Playing loudly from a speaker in the car was Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the U.S.A.” as counter-protesters chased the truck down the street. The encounter was brief, leaving behind a massive crowd of people protesting the event after responding to the AAI’s confusing advertising.
An hour later, just after 7 p.m., Lang’s U-Haul appeared heading west down Ford Road in Dearborn, just outside of the largest mosque in North America, the Islamic Center of America. The drive-by tactic was not new for Lang, who similarly drove past a crowd of protesters at the Whipple Federal Building in Minneapolis for what was scheduled as a “press conference” in early February.
Instead of shooting protesters with paintballs and macing them from behind a chainlink fence as they drove by, Lang and company were pulled over by Dearborn police in their U-Haul for texting and driving. During a search of the vehicle, officers found psychedelic mushrooms – which he told independent journalist Ford Fischer belonged to fellow “Crusader” Jayden Scott – and was arrested and charged with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance.
Scott, who was not visibly present with the U-Haul but promoted it on his social media accounts and worked alongside Lang to get a permit for the book burning from the Dearborn Police Department, was also arrested on May 10. This comes two months after Scott announced that his “team” at AAI put Lang on leave and actively tried to put distance between him and the group after X user TheZerggg leaked predatory texts from Lang to what he thought was a 15-year-old girl.
“When do you turn 16?” Lang, 31, texted the decoy. “What state do you live in? I can’t see you til your [sic] 16.”

The following evening, after being released from jail on bond, Lang showed up to the site of his arrest with a stolen Walmart shopping cart carrying a burn pit and several books as a counter-protester shouted “pedophile” at him through a megaphone. The nearest Walmart is a 40-minute walk from the Islamic Center of America.

Cars flew past as Lang pushed his cart down the shoulder of Michigan Highway 153, the crowd of counter-protesters growing. Accompanying Lang was a man in gray sweatpants carrying an American flag, the same man who was in the passenger seat of the U-Haul the previous day.
A police truck blocking the road cut the trip short to the corner of Haiastan Boulevard, where Lang started setting up his burn pit. As the counter-protesters coalesced around the two, a fight broke out and Lang’s companion shoved one of them onto the asphalt, an act police officers promptly arrested him for, leaving Lang alone.
For less than a minute Lang was able to burn several books, when an officer quickly approached the scene and sprayed it with a fire extinguisher. Lang shrugged, pulled a book from the pit and weakly threw it in the direction of the mosque.
Next up for the pit was a Monster High doll, which Lang showcased to the crowd of counter-protesters as a “Satanic whore.” As he poured more and more lighter fluid onto the toy’s plastic case, failing over and over again to light it, a counter-protester approached him.

“You bought all of this stuff, you realize?”
“Yes, I did,” Lang confidently responded. “To get rid of it.”
“Oh no!” The man responded. “And now they’re going to make more, you fucking moron.”
When Lang went to burn a copy of the Anti-Racist Baby that he purchased, a counter-protester sprayed him and the book he held in his hand down with a fire extinguisher. After another attempt to light the book, another counter-protester pepper sprayed him, which went on to become another opportunity for Lang to play victim on social media.

“Yesterday I was dowsed in CHEMICAL WEAPONS by ANTIFA in Dearborn Michigan!!!!” Lang posted on May 12.
The counter-protesters who sprayed Lang were promptly arrested on the scene by Dearborn Police, who maintained a presence throughout the spectacle.
Police separated Lang from the crowd of counter-protesters on the western side of Haiastan Boulevard, where he was ultimately able to light a Quran on fire in view of the Islamic Center of America. After several seconds of burning, Lang tossed it into the air and attempted to roundhouse kick it, flailing his body around and ultimately missing the book.
After he failed to kick the book, police escorted Lang away from the scene as a wall of counter-protesters continued to shout at him.

Williamsburg and Beyond
On July 1, the State of Virginia will ban the manufacturing and sale of assault firearms.
On May 13, Lang appeared for a militia rally – a rally that consisted only of Lang and fellow J6er Guy Reffitt – in Williamsburg, Virginia. The rally was for the sole purpose of spreading the news that Lang will be in town on July 1 to protest the law.
Lang, who is currently out on bond in multiple jurisdictions, brought an assault rifle to the meet up, which stayed hovering over the front of the empty plate carrier he wore that draped over his torso like a sandwich board.
“We’re calling upon them today, giving them two months notice,” Lang said into a microphone in front of a single-digit crowd of mostly journalists. “We will be here, July 1, we will be carrying long rifles.”

Lang also debuted his “Crusader Active Club” social media app at the rally, taking its name partially from the trend among white nationalists to form white-only active clubs. Instead of sweaty incels punching each other in a basement gym, Lang’s active club is a dead social media platform where users spam porn and can join one of hundreds of empty chapters across the world.
A dubious “real live estimate of our replacement” is permanently at the top of the home page, with a number of more than 80,000,000 “million invaders” (or 80 trillion “invaders”) that increases at a rate of roughly 2,000 million (or two billion) invaders per second.
“There’s white nationalist Active Clubs across the world and we’re just another white nationalist Active Club,” Lang told independent journalist Ford Fischer when asked whether his Crusaders Active Club was associated with Robert Rundo’s white nationalist active clubs.
When another journalist mentioned that other white nationalists and active clubs have rejected Lang, he responded by saying they “can’t reject the Fuhrer.”
The next day, Lang called in to the neo-Nazi Jon Minadeo’s GoyimTV livestream to plug his movement.
Lang, who is half Jewish, was forced on the defensive when talking with the hardline white supremacist Minadeo, who questioned Lang’s association with people of color. Lang defended himself by claiming he stabbed a black man, who he referred to with the N-word, in the throat while in prison.
Minadeo told Lang he would not be out of prison had that happened and refused to grant him white status, to which Lang became upset and told Minadeo to suck his dick.
“[You’re] being neurotic,” Minadeo said. “It’s a Jewish trait.”
“You know why I’m yelling right now?” Lang asked Minadeo. “I just came off an armed militia meet up that I had where I had to stand up and face off against Antifa.” Lang was presumably referring to his May 13 rally in Williamsburg, where a couple counter protesters heckled him and Reffitt.
Lang continued, “While you’re sitting on your little queefing ass making your clips on social media, I’m out there with my gun, standing on the streets of Virginia, which will become illegal come July first.”
“OK,” Minadeo said. “What are you going to do about it?”
“I’m going to stand there and get fucking arrested on July 1, or blast somebody that tries to take my gun unconstitutionally.”
Minadeo quickly disavowed Lang for promising violence, which Lang responded to by calling him gay.
“Fedmaxxing,” Minadeo said.
Once Lang is released from jail at the end of the month, he will go through a circuit of court appearances starting with Dearborn on June 4 and then the D.C. on June 10. He will be in Pennsylvania on July 6 for a formal arraignment for DUI charges he received in 2025. After that, he will head to Minnesota on July 27 to begin his trial for vandalizing the ICE sculpture in February.
