National Figures Flock to Minnesota for Flagship ‘No Kings’ Protest

Organizers say 200,000 protesters gathered at the Minnesota State Capitol for the third national #NoKings protest, with Saint Paul chosen as the flagship event. National speakers and musicians flocked to Minnesota to take part in what organizers called “the largest protest in Minnesota history.”

From more than three locations around St. Paul, masses of people descended on the capitol on Saturday afternoon. This was only one of over 3,300 actions across the country and the larger event among dozens of others across the Twin Cities metro.

This video features on the ground and drone footage along with a snippet of U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders’ speech, Bruce Springsteen performing “This is Minneapolis,” and local musicians Thomasina Petrus and Kashimana, among others.
