Protesters Demand Justice for Kobe Heisler, One Year Later

On August 31, 2019, Brooklyn Center officers Brandon Akers, Steven Holt, Cody Turner, and Joseph Vu murdered 21-year-old Kobe Heisler, who was autistic, in his home. Two weeks ago, Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman chose to not charge the officers involved in Heisler’s killing.
