Killed by Police: Daunte Wright – April 12, 2021 – Day 2 – FULL HD Live Stream

The day after Daunte Wright, 20, was killed during a traffic stop by police, community continued gathering, demanding accountability. Starting from a vigil at the scene of near where Wright took his last breaths and ending in front of the Brooklyn Center police station, Unicorn Riot live streamed the protests on April 12, 2021, for several hours.

This video is 3.5+ hours of coverage from day 2 of what turned into a week-long uprising in the northern suburb of Minneapolis seeking justice for Daunte Wright.

On April 11, 2021, former Brooklyn Center police officer Kim Potter fatally shot unarmed 20-year-old Daunte Wright during a traffic stop. Community outrage at Wright’s killing was swift and widespread despite the massive National Guard and police build-up for the Derek Chauvin trial happening just a few miles away from where Wright was killed.

Wright’s killer was later convicted of both first and second-degree manslaughter and sentenced to 24 months in prison on February 18, 2022. After serving 16 months in Minnesota Correctional Facility-Shakopee, Potter was released from prison. Potter then moved to Wisconsin and gets paid to deliver presentations at law enforcement conferences.
