Four children, two of them brothers, were killed in an Israeli drone strike on a group of Palestinians collecting firewood in the Zeitoun neighborhood in southeast Gaza City on March 15, 2025.
“I have been taking care of my children for a year and a half and I didn’t allow them outside but I did today,” cried Umm Ahmed Al-Arqan, who lost two sons, Mahmoud, 15, and Yusuf, 13.
Over the last two weeks — during Ramadan, the holiest month for Muslims — Israel has closed all Gaza crossings, not allowing in any humanitarian aid, fuel, food, hygiene products or other essentials like cooking oil.
Mahmoud and Yusuf, who were always kept tucked close to their mother, went to get firewood for their evening meal to break their fast and were killed with two of their friends. Full story and more in link below.
