Al-Quds Brigades held military exercises in Gaza called “Azm al-Sadiqin” which featured hundreds of fighters “in several operational theaters” and ended with artillery and rocket fire toward the Gaza Sea, given the small space for missile testing in Gaza. In 2007, Israel imposed an air, land, and sea blockade on the Gaza Strip and its more than two million inhabitants.
