The federal trial for poet and activist Isabel "Isa" Lopez has been reset for Feb. 2, 2026, after several delays and cancellations.

The 287(g) program links local law enforcement agencies into ICE. The program has grown incrementally in Minnesota this year; meanwhile counties are collecting millions of dollars by detaining immigrants for ICE.
