In 2021, UR published just one report from Greece, so we combined that on this page with our 2022 coverage in which we published 14 videos and 15 articles. Find them all below. A majority of the reporting was centered around xenophobia in Greece, from migrant deaths at refugee camps to police killings of Roma teens and a queer activist. We heard from Afro-Greeks on the impacts that George Floyd’s murder had on them and started our continued coverage on anti-Roma racism, while spotlighting workers mobilizing and student’s rioting. Also featured is our analysis on the different facets of gentrification in Greece, our special on Exarcheia Square and police evicting another squat.
