Denver Earth Day Celebration Centers Line 3 Pipeline

Denver, CO – On the 51st anniversary of Earth Day, water protectors and activists gathered at the Colorado State Capitol to shine light on the Line 3 pipeline currently being built by Enbridge in northern Minnesota.

Since 2014, Canadian energy giant Enbridge has pushed to build this new pipeline to import 915,000 barrels of tar sands oil per day over the U.S. border. The route will go through Indigenous Anishinaabe treaty territory designated in agreements signed in 1842, 1854, and 1855.

We were on the ground covering the Earth Day event on Thursday morning.
